Mr. Hidalgo has had an impressive career as a cinematographer with over 22 feature films and in his early days, he was 1st AD of dir. Alejandro González Iñárritu in the film "Amores Perros".

dp. Carlos Hidalgo won the Ariel (Mexican Academy Award) in 2013 for Best Cinematography for the film "El Fantástico Mundo de Juan Orol" and was nominated in 2015 for Best Cinematography for "Good Day, Ramon.”
